Learn the Tango - American Style Dance Series
You can learn to dance the Tango with exciting lessons that teach you the American Style of this wonderful dance. It is taught by professional dance instructor Jim Crawford and his partner, Bonny Snell. Each step and movement will be presented to you with techniques of the instructor's exclusive DanceEasy (trademark) method of learning to dance. This dance class blends the best movements of ballroom and club dance that will take you to a new height of skill. Fundamentals, movements, and styling will be taught, practiced, and coached in this class. Learn how to dance with excitement, energy, and passion of infectious rhythms. Tango
is earthy and dramatic. Although walking movements dominate, Tango walks, having
a "stalking" or "sneaking" character, are unlike the walks of other ballroom
dances. Movements are sometimes slow and slithery, and other times sharp
and staccato, such as a quick foot flick or a sharp head snap to promenade
position. Tango has the same counter clockwise flow of movement around the dance
floor, but with a lesser sense of urgency in comparison to the smoother and more
continuous ballroom dances. American Style Tango, especially at
highly-developed skill levels, makes great use of open and alternate dance
positions to further showcase Tango's dramatic nature.
