The Cupid Shuffle Group Formation Dance instruction Dance-Rite Group Formation Dance Instruction featuring The Cupid Shuffle Catalog #CSFD2x1-281 The Cupid Shuffle has become a very popular dance. The dance is a hip-hop variant of country line dancing and is extremely simple to perform, especially since all the steps are sung in the lyrics of the title "Shuffle" by hip-hop artist Cupid. The dance quickly gained popularity at nightclubs due to its easy-to-learn nature and catchy beat. Even the most novice dancer can perform it by the end of the second chorus. Many have compared the dance to the Cha Cha Slide, which was released in 1996 by DJ Casper of Chicago. The Cupid Shuffle began its rise to popularity in Lafayette, Louisiana, Cupid’s home town. Jim Crawford, the managing dance director of Attitude Dance Studios has now created the Cupid Shuffle to be performed in formation by partner dancers as well as individuals. Electric Slide and Macarena Solo Line Dance Lesson Dance-Rite Solo Line Dance Instruction featuring The Electric Slide and Macarena Catalog #ESLD1x1-191 and Catalog #MLD1x1-191 The Electric Slide and The Macarena are long time staples of Solo Lane Dances. Originally known as the Electric Boogie, the Electric Slide is a basic 4 wall line dance done at social gatherings such as weddings. Ric Silver created the Electric Slide in 1976 with a basic framework that can be and has been customized by individuals. Macarena is a Spanish song by Los del Río and Fangoria about a woman of the same name, or any woman from the La Macarena neighborhood of Seville, Spain. It was popular between 1995 and 1996. The dance was created by a Venezuelan flamenco dance teacher to give her class something to do. The song originally had no dance, and it eventually caught on with the rest of the world.
